
Maura Redmond
Maura became a certified EMT in 2015 after training in King County, WA, and has been passionate about EMS ever since. She served for 3 years as an EMT with Santa Clara University’s Emergency Services. As their Operations Director, Maura implemented post-call data review measures to improve the quality of care and to direct training towards high-need areas. In 2018, she co-founded and taught SCU’s CPR, AED and First Aid course that has certified over 1,000 students, faculty, and staff to date.
Maura is currently pursuing a Masters in Biomedical Sciences and a Masters in Public Health at Tufts University in Boston, MA. She is passionate about health literacy, education, and incorporating public health principles in to emergency care. As a coordinator on the COPE project, Maura is excited to work with paramedic leaders across California and integrate EMS and public health to fight the ongoing opioid crisis.
