Todd Klingensmith
Executive Director
Todd serves as the executive director of the California Paramedic Foundation. He also concurrently serves as the president of the San Diego County Paramedic Association, an organization which he has successfully led for 20 years. Todd has worked as a Paramedic in San Diego County for over 25 years. As the president of the SDCPA, he has been a direct representative to the San Diego LEMSA quality assurance and protocol committees, editor of the San Diego County Protocol Handbook, and a leader in the development and promotion of education, safety and prevention programming.
An advocate for education and advancement of EMS training, Todd attended Loma Linda University, receiving a bachelors of science in emergency medical care. He has also worked as an instructor in San Diego regional paramedic programs at EMSTA and Southwestern colleges.
Todd is currently employed with American Medical Response, residing in San Diego with his wife and two children. His goal through his continued work at the LEMSA level and the empowerment of Paramedics and EMTs through this newly created Foundation.
